STIR DAY

WYE VALLY / SAT 1ST FEB / 2025

Take a pause & rewild.

Step away from the daily chaos for a day of slowing down; reconnecting with yourself, and immersing in the natural beauty of the Wye Valley. Surrounded by woodlands and fresh air, this retreat is your chance to reset, recharge, and realign with both the season & yourself.

“winter requires a kind of metrome that ticks away at its darkest beats, giving us a melody to follow into spring”

Rest and Retreat

Winter is the natural time of year for hibernation. Wintering is the power of rest and retreat in difficult times. Yet how much do we actually do this?

Give time for Introspection.

S L O W D O W N

Gather with us on Imbolg/Imbolc - the midway point of winter meaning “in the belly” and a moment in the wheel of the year that is fertile and potent with possibility.

MAKE + MOVE

Seasonal Awakening

Often we see the first glimmers of Spring here - snowdrops, crocus, young seedlings putting their heads above the soil - the stirrings of a seasonal shift.

We’ll mark this Midwinter with a sense of reemergence after the cold, dark months - sparking a fire inside of us.

Gift yourself this day to explore what’s stirring within; asking how you’ve wintered & looking ahead at what’s to come.

An intellectual, spiritual and natural look into being.

The story

Imbolc is my favourite natural marker. The point when visible life & colour returns to the landscape. I love knowing that 6 weeks or so of Winter remain and as such, feel that I can wallow in them a little more. I love feeling the cogs of nature turn & it sits well within me that this is a time to both reflect and look ahead - tapping in to the potency of this period.

We’ll kick things off with tea & a relaxed Welcome Circle setting the theme & intentions for the day. After that, we’ll roll straight into an energising yoga practice in the gorgeous shala overlooking the valley. It’ll be a blend of Vinyasa flow and Katonah yoga, designed to shake off the sluggish energy of winter and get you feeling light, bright, and ready to welcome in the possibilities of Spring.

Once we’ve worked up an appetite, we’ll gather for a delicious, freshly prepared lunch. You can chat, share, or just enjoy a quiet moment to yourself — whatever feels right.

In the afternoon, we’ve got something pretty special lined up. Olivia Racionzer (see here) an amazing artist, will guide us through her Nostalgic Sewing artform. It’s all about getting creative, connecting with your past, and being fully in the moment. Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a needle — Olivia’s got you covered, and the process is way more important than the product. Just lose yourself in it and let the flow take over.

We’ll close out the afternoon with some outdoor time for a rewilding session — think wandering through the woods, soaking up the wisdom of the trees, and moving however feels good. It’s the perfect way to wind down before we wrap up with tea, cake, and a final Circle to reflect on the day and share what’s come up.

THE DAY

This isn’t just a day retreat — it’s a chance to really press pause and reconnect. Reconnect with your body through yoga. Reconnect with your creativity through art. Reconnect with nature as you explore the woods. If you’re feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, or just need some space to breathe, this retreat will help you tune back in to yourself.

It’s perfect for those who need a break from the hustle, want to get out of their head, and come home feeling grounded, inspired, and ready for whatever’s next.

Ready to hit reset? We’ll see you in the Wye Valley.

WHY JOIN US?

I find Winter and rest difficult and this offering - The Stir Day Retreat - speaks to anyone that struggles with the same. It’s a way to tune in with the season and in so doing, connect with yourself.
